Allison Tai and Shaun Stephens-Whale are the Toughest Mudder South women's and men's second-place finishers.
Allison ran 40 miles for her second-place finish. Allison's personal best for Toughest Mudder is her 45-mile performance at Chicago in 2017 to secure the Toughest Mudder Series win.
Shaun Stephens-Whale ran 45 miles for his second-place. Shaun and eventual winner Ryan Atkins traded the lead back and forth for the first 30 miles.
Before we talk with Allison and Shaun we take a deep dive into the numbers of Toughest Mudder South. How many runners were there? How many earned their contender status? Was this the hardest Toughest Mudder? Prove it.
